Coonskin Park and Golf Course
Coonskin Park was created over 50 years ago by a dedicated group of Kanawha County residents. It has grown into one of the most beautiful parks in the region. Located 10 minutes from downtown Charleston, West Virginia, the park includes over a thousand acres of woodland nature. Enjoy several activities including hiking and biking trails, fishing pond, picnic shelters of all sizes, modern playground areas, an Olympic size pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, foot golf, horseshoe pits, skating park, 3,000 seat soccer stadium, disk golf, amphitheater, and a wedding/event garden. Meeting and reception room rentals are also available for your next event. We are currently redesigning the Coonskin Golf Course to reopen in the June of 2023.
Meadowood Park
The newly restored park offers two of the state’s most popular Kayak Launch sites which provides access to the wildly popular 88-mile Coal River Flatwater Trail system! The park has 6 hiking trails, an 8-acre fishing lake, shelters, picnic areas, and a wonderful Wetland nature trail.
Pioneer Park
Welcome to Pioneer Park located on the banks of the Kanawha River in East Bank, West Virginia, and right next door to East Bank Middle School. This park has a swimming pool that is open when the school is closed for the summer. The other park activities include a basketball court, playground with swings, and a shelter for your events. Come out and have fun!
